
MUSICAL THEATER SHOWCASE PROGRAM
*You must be enrolled at Luther Burbank to participate.
We are now enrolling students from Luther Burbank Middle School for our Spring After School Program. The students will sign up to participate in a Broadway Revue featuring songs from popular Broadway musicals. All participants can audition for solo featured parts. Read more below for details.

REHEARSALS:
Tues. from 2:15-4:15 pm (Starting 2/24)
PROGRAM DURATION:
8 Weeks
SHOWCASE PERFORMANCE:
April 22nd (Time TBA - Subject to Change)
WHAT HAPPENS IN REHEARSALS?
Students will work in an interactive and creative environment where they will be taught singing, dancing, acting, and choreography specific to the Broadway selections for the showcase. All students will participate as an ensemble, with opportunities for soloists and featured parts.
HOW DO AUDITIONS WORK?
If you plan to participate as part of the general ensemble, you will not need to send in an audition. If you would like to be considered for a featured role (solo, duet, special feature), please be sure to check mark this request in the registration form above. Additional info will be sent to the students who wish to be considered for a featured role. ​

WHO TEACHES THE KIDS?
Our program is directed by Kate Miller, with support from several musical theater professionals who are skilled in various aspects of theatre and performing arts.

SAFETY AND MORE:
Safety is a main priority within the Class Act program. Class Act adheres to a detailed code of conduct that will be shared with all participants. It is important to us that all participants feel safe during rehearsals and performances. ​

MORE ABOUT CLASS ACT:
Class Act is a year-round theatrical program and non-profit theatre with ties to the San Fernando Valley since 1985. Our core musical theatre program is run out of Woodland Hills, where we produce three children's musicals every year. Our philosophy behind children's theatre is for everyone to have fun, feel included, and have their moment in the spotlight.
